Exclusive: Sam Amidon - "Another Story Told"

When folk experimentalist Sam Amidon stopped by the Fretboard Journal, we weren't sure what to expect. Amidon can take old fiddle tunes (and even his original folk tunes) and spin them into wild directions.

This time around, he brought along horn player extraordinaire Sam Gendel, who had arguably the largest pedal board we've seen all year. A sax player with a pedal board... we've officially seen it all! 

On this take, Amidon and Gendel got a little loose. Before the shot, I asked Amidon if he'd participate in our "You Are My Sunshine" video project. I didn't realize he'd embed it into the middle of this tune... but it somehow works.
